| History of Victory Church. |
Victory Church began in 1990, when the
Holy Spirit began to speak to a group of people in Madisonville,
Kentucky about a church that would cross religious and traditional
lines and bring a greater understanding of God‘s grace
and the power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers.
Thirteen families responded to the urging of the Holy Spirit
and a new church was born in late April of 1991 at a small recording
studio. As they began to teach and minister the word of God,
they outgrew their humble beginnings and moved to a child care
center in May 1991.
After only a few weeks, they moved in June of 1991 to a location
on Center Street and would stay there for the next year and
a half. In April of 1992, Victory Church was one year old with
a core group of 50 believers. In May, 25 acres were purchased
and by January of 1993, the new sanctuary and education complex
at 615 Brown Road was completed and 250 people moved in! By
the end of 1996, the large sanctuary which seats 1000 was completed.
Today, Victory Church continues to minister to families the
grace of God, through the Word of God, by the Spirit of God.
